In 2022 I asked the composer Sokora Violetov if she could help me in making a soundscape of my unconscious . I sent Soko around 50 recorded sounds, ranging from my exboyfriend yelling at me, to the sound of Berlin’s public transportation announcements, to my favorite party songs. Soko masterfully mixed and composed the soundbites into a soundscape which I heard for the first time during the performance, reacting in realtime to the sounds with the audience… some pleasant while others incredibly harsh to listen back to. The improvisation was performed on a ferry on the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, a waterway which serves as a natural boundary between Europe and Asia. This performance was created for the International Improvisational Dance Festival in Istanbul.

During the performance, many pleasent interruptions occurred, and soon the whole boat was dancing.
